I have been fishing for carp since seeing one caught over 30 years ago and telling myself that I had to catch one, little did I know that this would trigger a life long obsession. I cut my carp angling teeth on a tricky venue know as the Salamander, catching my first 20lb and 30lb fish in the late 80’s from the venue. I have enjoyed fishing many different venues around the UK and public waters abroad and been lucky enough to catch fish to over 48lb, but still get that buzz when any sized fish rolls into the net. I am a level 2 angling coach and have been involved with different tackle companies since around 2000, developing and testing many different products. Having a young family means my fishing these days are mainly chasing carp from local venues on quick overnight sessions. My favourite Kryston products if I had to narrow them down would be the heavy metal which I use on nearly every rig I cast out. Well ard, due to fishing disused mineral pits containing many snags in their depths and no tackle box would be complete without the versatile Super Nova hook link.
